We showed how bacteria pass smoothly through narrow passages. It's like a tunnel boring machine. The paper is here.

We collaborated with Prof. Kan's team on the device, Wada's team on the simulations, and Kikuchi's team on the insects and symbiotic bacteria. Yoshioka from the Nakane Lab worked hard on the experiments, and it turned into a great result. There are lots of videos, so please take a look.
