Uemura presented at the Joint Meeting on Biological Motility Research 2026, held in Yamaguchi. Nakane stayed behind in Chofu because of classes and other duties. Uemura's former mentor Shimabukuro was one of the organizers, so I imagine the two had a good catch-up for the first time in a while.
