若手コロッセウムを開催しましたWe held the Young Researchers' Colosseum

細菌学若手コロッセウムを開催しました。今年は記念すべき20回目です。私が学生の時に第2回の若コロに参加したのを覚えています。今年は世話人代表という立場で関わることができて光栄です。といっても、ほとんどの仕事は世話人の皆さんがやってくれました。

若い人たちから質問もたくさん出て、良い交流になったかなと思います。まわりの参加者がピチピチの若者だったので、おじさんは邪魔にならないようにひっそりと過ごしておりました。

佐藤くん、石鉢くん、岸川くん、藤村くん、内海さんが発表しました。4年生ははじめての発表で緊張していたようですが、いい経験になったのではないかと思います。

We held the Young Researchers' Colosseum of Bacteriology. This year was the milestone 20th meeting. I remember attending the 2nd one when I was a student, so I was honored to be involved this year as chief organizer. That said, the organizing committee did almost all of the work.

The young participants asked lots of questions, and I think it was a great exchange. Surrounded by fresh-faced young people, this middle-aged guy kept a low profile so as not to get in the way.

Sato, Ishibachi, Kishikawa, Fujimura, and Utsumi gave presentations. The fourth-year students seemed nervous at their first presentations, but I think it was a good experience.
