細菌学若手コロッセウムに参加しました。上村くんはポスター賞を受賞しました。

8/17-19 に久留米で開催された第17回細菌学若手コロッセウムに中根・上村・吉岡・島田・横濱が参加発表しました。細菌学の研究をされている若い人とたくさん話せて、とっても刺激を受けました。

上村くんはポスター賞を受賞しました。上村さんが受賞したポスター賞は、対象となる若手研究者の発表件数約50演題の中から受賞件数は１件でした。本賞は、アメリカ微生物学会（ASM）のASM Young Ambassador 藤木純平氏（酪農学園大学講師）より授与されました。評価してくださった先生がた、ありがとうございます。

また、久留米大学の小椋先生から久留米の織物をつかったお土産もいただきました。とっても素敵なデザインで、手ざわりも良いです。これを身につければ、爽やか40代になれそうです。

Nakane, Uemura, Yoshioka, Shimada, and Yokohama attended and presented at the 17th Young Bacteriologists' Colosseum, held in Kurume on 8/17-19. We talked with lots of young researchers working in bacteriology and came away really inspired.

Uemura received a poster award. Only one award was given among about 50 presentations by eligible young researchers. The award was presented by Fujiki (Lecturer, Rakuno Gakuen University), an ASM Young Ambassador of the American Society for Microbiology (ASM). Thank you to the professors who evaluated his work.

Prof. Ogura of Kurume University also gave us souvenirs made with Kurume textiles. The design is lovely and they feel great to the touch. Wearing this, I might just become a fresh-looking guy in my 40s.
