We held a live event at the open campus

UEC held its open campus on Sun 11/21. As part of it, we ran an online lab tour from 13:00 to 16:00.

For junior high and high school students interested in UEC, students from other universities and technical colleges hoping to go on to graduate school, UEC 3rd-year students who want to talk about lab assignments, and others, we offered an introduction to the lab's activities, research talks by students, advice on further study, and one-on-one consultations about joining the lab.

We used a video chat tool called Spatial Chat. Voices sound louder when you're close to someone, so I thought it might be easier to strike up a conversation than on Zoom, and we gave it a try. Unfortunately, though, not many people came. Online events are pretty tricky.
